The West Baton Rouge Museum is pleased to have been selected to present a course through Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI at LSU) in the Spring Semester of 2019.Classes will meet for two hours on consecutive Mondays (excluding March 4, Lundi Gras) from February 18 – April 1.
In celebration of the Square Collection exhibit, and the museum’s latest permanent installation, a Juke Joint exhibit, this OLLI course will explore Movement in Art and Music. Through a series of six classes taking place on February 18, 25, March 11, 18, 25, and April 1, registered participants will experience exhibit tours, performances by dancers and musicians, artists demonstrations, and lectures by art collectors and historians.. The course will culminate with an opportunity to create a piece of art to keep that incorporates an expressive form of movement.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Louisiana State University (OLLI at LSU) is a membership-based program offering non-credit courses and activities that focus on active learning and is one of a network of 120 university-affiliated lifelong learning programs supported by The Bernard Osher Foundation.
