Meet collector, Lawrence Square. Let him lead the way through a stunning art collection of two- and three- dimensional works made by artists including Tina Allen, Elizabeth Catlett, Charles Dickson, John Ray, Jacob Lawrence, Ed Dwight, and more. Then enjoy afternoon refreshments and original choreographed dance performances inspired by sculptures in the collection such as Eclipse, Firebird, and Evolution. In an interview, Mr. Square said, “Tina loved watching the movement of dancers and the motions they put into their art. So she tried to capture that in her art.”
This program is being offered in conjunction with the Square Collection exhibit on loan from Lawrence and Gay Square.
