Calling all current and former Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts age 5 – 105 and the general public!
The West Baton Rouge Museum will host a Scout reunion and exhibit-opening reception for Prepared for Life on Saturday, June 8, 219 from 6 PM – 8 PM. Come gather around the campfire on the museum grounds for an evening of Scout themed entertainment and refreshments, reminiscing, exhibit tours, and S’more! The public is welcome to bring memorabilia for “show and tell.” Join us as we celebrate the tradition of Scouting and the legacy, lessons, and treasured memories that Scouting has to offer.

The Prepared for Life: Scouting in West Baton Rouge exhibit tells the stories of the boys who learned valuable life skills and made lasting friendships in the Boy Scout troops of WBR. The exhibit will also explore the contributions of local Girl Scouts and the programs that they participated in. The museum will offer interactive programs in conjunction with the exhibit throughout the summer.

This program is free and open to the public and suitable for all ages. Scouts from all communities are encouraged to participate. In case of inclement weather, this event will be moved inside the museum. The West Baton Rouge Museum is located at 845 N. Jefferson Avenue in Port Allen.
